Sweet and Sour Cabbage

  • 1 head white cabbage
  • 2oz butter
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • Pinch of mixed spice
  • 2 level teaspoons soft brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt


Wash and finely shred cabbage
Put all ingredients in saucepan
Cover and cook until cabbage is tender (15 – 20 mins)
Shake often while cooking
Uncover and cook briskly until no liquid remains.

Eat and enjoy a simple dish.
